Evil Dead II
Rated: NR
Run Time: 1 h 25 min

Starting Tonight at Midnight!

A last minute, though really exciting addition to tonight's shows: EVIL DEAD II! That's right, this cult classic is sure to leave you screaming and laughing. Sam Raimi's new horroromp film "Drag Me To Hell" is being released today in the main stream theaters but it doesn't star Bruce Campbell. Evil Dead II is not exactly a sequel, so don't worry if you haven't seen Evil Dead. Evil Dead II should be credited with the success of horror/humor films like Shaun of the Dead.
Evil Dead II starts tonight for our first MIDNIGHT MOVIE! Can't come tonight? Too beat? Too busy trying to exorcise the evil thing that's possessed your hand? Then you can check it out for the late show all week.

Sita Sings the Blues
Rated: NR
Run Time: 1 h 22 min

Nina Paley's Sita Sings the Blues is a great companion to Slumdog Millionaire. Both Slumdog and Sita show Indian in vibrant and beautiful style of story telling. Interestingly both saw a significant controversy surrounding their depiction of Indian culture and society. Paley's work may well be deserving of Academy recognition, but Sita also ran into controversy surrounding copyright.
