Cinema 16:9 is proud to present Metropolis. This is truly a landmark film- a master work, and now, you can see it again on the big screen. Director, Fritz Lang brings us a fantastic vision of the future, and some say, even created the Sci-fi genre. It explores the extremes of the haves and have-nots, and is gripping in its telling. We'll have a chance to really explore the film over its two weeks with us.
Lens Flare: A Music & Film Experience

Cinema 16:9 kicks off the premiere of Metropolis on the first Friday of August with Lens Flare. As a silent film, Metropolis would have been accompanied by a live score. Cinema 16:9 is excited to revive this tradition - with a modern spin. For four nights, experience Lens Flare, with Jesse D.J. seamlessly mixing music to create the soundscape for a number of silent shorts culminating in a screening Metropolis with a live-mixed score.

Although Sid despises his father, he is turning out to be a younger version of him: wild and defiant. Immersing in the world of the Zen drummers eventually converts him into a firm and focused young man. Sid's independence from the triad life and his father is profoundly challenged, however, when a twist of fate awaits him back home in Hong Kong and forces him to choose between loyalty to his family and his new found faith in himself …
