Welcome to the Cinema 16:9 Blog. Thank-you for coming, I'll take this moment to field any questions you may have.

A. That pertains to an ongoing investigation, and I am unable to comment on that at this time.

A. A blog is short for Web Log, and okay, Cinema 16:9 isn't short for Web Log, you got me. It's a cinema... A place you watch movies.

An Evening of Coffee-Flavored Film

Enjoy the robust aroma of this dark roasted collection of cine-beans! You too can learn the science of coffee brewing, the secret history of the bean - we'll explore the marriage saving effects of "husband-pleasing," "mountain-grown" coffee. And we'll learn how restaurants are run, and how tables are set... Thanks to tonight's Coffee House Rendezvous!
Q. Wait... Back up. So Cinema 16:9 is in the Regency Cafe?
A. On April 3, 2008 at 7PM -9PM it is.
Q. But it's not otherwise?
A. Right.
Q. Well then, where is it otherwise?
A. Where do you want it to be?
Q. What do you mean, where do I want it to be? What is this anyway, a Abbott and Costello routine?
A. I don't know.
Q. Third Base.
A. What I mean is, Cinema 16:9 is based in Lansdowne, PA. If you want to show a film, or have a presentation - Cinema 16:9 can help. I work to bring films into the community, enabling individuals, organizations or merchants to host films.
Q. So you present movies, rent out video equipment... you're like the library A/V kid from high-school, huh?
A. I prefer Film Exhibitioner. I don't rent out A/V equipment. I rent out a whole presentation. You tell me what you'd like to present, I arrange public performance rights for your group, set-up a temporary theater at your location and I present the evening for you.
Q. A/V Geek.
A. I'll thank you to format your answer in the form of a question.
Q. What is A/V Geek?
A. I don't know.
Q. Third Base. This is an Abbott and Costello Routine.
A. At least it's not the Susquehanna Hat bit.
Q. So what if I want to have a film at my location, but I don't know what I want to show?
A. I'm a film exhibitor. I'll find you several options to screen, or I'll create a completely unique, exciting theme for your venue.

A. Come to the Regency Cafe for a "Coffee House Rendezvous", April 3, 2008 at 7PM-9PM!
Q. I read that already... so who's David Titus?
A. Before moving to Lansdowne, David Titus lived in Mt. Airy, where he screened films at the Sedgwick Theater - Films at the Sedgwick presented a number of film events on First Fridays. He set up a permanent theater, The Little Theater, where he programed and presented films. He also took the show on the road screening films at The Big Blue Marble Bookstore.
Now David's moved on and set his sights on Lansdowne as his permanent home, but it's wonderful to see Mt. Airy's Little Theater doing so well!
Q. So is Cinema 16:9 looking for a permanent place to be?
A. I don't know.

A. So, it's my turn to ask you questions. Okay, who are you and why are you asking so many questions? I mean you seem to be really interested in what I'm doing. You're not two cubicles down texting me with your blackberry or something are you?

Got a Couple Hours?
Before starting Cinema 16:9, David Titus was screening films at the Sedgwick Theater in Mt. Airy, a section of Philadelphia. This is one of those screenings.... all 5 hours of it....
So sit back, relax, and enjoy the July 2006 screening. We ended the night with Danny Kaye in Inspector General, and yes, you can watch the whole film right now!
